Abigail Carreon, MA, MDR

Clinical Chaplain

Abigail has served as Clinical Chaplain for Acacia since 2020.  She worked at UC Berkeley and Stanford University for 7 years, ministering to students facing unique pressures.  Along with chaplaincy, she was The Veritas Forum's West Coast Regional Director, developing resources and co-hosting forums to help students and faculty of varying beliefs explore existential questions together.  She received a BA in English Literature, Psychology, and Political Science from Purdue University, with visiting studies at University of Oxford. She holds an MA in Apologetics from Luther Rice University and Seminary, specializing in comparative views of the Problem of Evil and Suffering.


Abigail is also a mediator and conflict coach; she earned a Master’s in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law and trained at the Straus Institute. Her field work has included social work, crisis counseling, and human rights research, to itinerant speaking, academy moderation, and humanitarian project management.  She is passionate about providing spiritual care and conflict resolution support to Acacia staff and patients.
