Dr. DeGaetano is a board-certified psychiatrist through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed medical school and psychiatric training at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He has been practicing since 2005 and has extensive experience treating patients with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). 

Prior to joining Acacia he founded and directed the TMS program at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation/Sutter Health.  Dr. DeGaetano developed expertise treating veterans with PTSD through his work at the VA Palo Alto and served as an instructor in the department of psychiatry at Stanford School of Medicine. Prior to this, Dr. DeGaetano received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wesleyan University. Dr. DeGaetano serves as Acacia’s Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director.
